Stevie Livingston is a 13 year old gamer from Seattle, Washington. Stevie loves to swear, but hates to get into trouble for swearing. Naturally, he found his calling online on Halo 2's matchmaking system. He found that he could swear all he wanted, and nothing would ever happen. People would threaten to "report" him, but he was never suspended or banned.
He learned lots of new swear words along the way, and used them at school in an attempt to impress his buddies. When his friends from his junior high school would come over, he would yell and scream on the microphone even more than normally so that his friends would know how truly "leet" he was. He even learned some non-swear derogitory remarks such as Noob, Newb, Nub, Pwn, Pown, Own, and Rape. Armed with his new arsenal of insults, he downloaded the beta for Halo 3 with high hopes.
"I couldn't wait to get in there are start yelling curse words", Stevie said while wiping almost-dried tears from his eyes. "As soon as I got into a game, I start shouting all of my favorite bad words into the mic, people were getting so mad, it was so leet! Then, it was almost as if no one could hear me". Stevie soon learned how easy it was to mute other players, and was understandably irate.
"Online swearing is an art form!" he gasped, "it's not like just any noob can go online and cause utter madness like I can!".
Livingston has been practicing the art of swearing since he first logged on to Halo 2, roughly four years ago.
He plans on taking computer programming classes in high school to learn how to mod his 360. He says he will devote his entire high school life to finding a way to block people from muting him on Halo 3.
He has also created a thread on a Halo fan forum asking for e-signatures for his petition for Bungie to remove easy player muting. He hasn't had any e-signatures yet, but he expects his first very soon. -JC Gravier |
