Jack Thompson may be a video game hater now, but "I was big into GTA back in '99", said Thompson, a conservative activist from Florida.
"I remember when me and the crew would just grab a six-pack of cold ones, fire up the Playstation, and play Grand Theft Auto 2 'til the sun came up", said Thompson at a recent press conference. "I never could beat that game, it was way too long", he added, and with a scratch of his brow he mentioned, "Maybe that's why I hate the Grand Theft Auto series so much". After the press finished laughing, he also said, "No, but seriously, GTA 2 was HARD, huh?"
"I always thought it was so cool that you could kill innocent people on screen and have cops chase you around the city. I always wanted to do that in real life.", said Thompson, his eyes aglaze with the memory of the now-vintage title.
To this day, Jack Thompson continues to pursue the fight against violent video games.
